The exhibition "Free Flight" is the result of 3 years of work by the Museum. It presents the heritage of nonconformist artists In a new perspective.
The exhibit unified art projects such as «Foresight», «Breakthrough into the Past. Tarkovsky&Plavinsky» and «New Flight to Solaris» and opened the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery. The exhibition catalog presents some of the most influential works of the unofficial artists of the second half of the 20th century from the collection of the CEO of the AZ Museum Natalia Opaleva — Dmitri Plavinsky, Petr Belenok, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Ülo Sooster, Lidia Masterkova, Anatoly Zverev, Vladimir Nemuthin and others. The most important artistic topics, images of the epoch are revealed in the short essays. That makes the heritage of nonconformist artists bright and modern, developed in tune with the present days and also, what is really important, with future.
